Making Connections

The book I am now reading, is called Sister Wife by Shelly Hrdlitschka.

Reading this book, I immediately thought of the TV show, "Sister Wives." The part in this book, that most reminds me of the TV show is, when the back cover of the book, is talking about Polygamy. The text says, "Polygamy is the norm, strict obedient is expected and it is customary for young girls to be assigned to much older husbands." (the back cover) Now in the TV show, "Sister Wives," they aren't married to younger girls, but they are married to several. Another quote from the book, that reminds me of the TV show is,"Through the window I see them practically running down the road to the rambling house where Colleen, the youngest wife of Uncle Jeremy, lives." (Page.87 paragraph 4.) Since the story said that "their Uncle Jeremy's youngest wife, Colleen," it's implying that he has at least 2 wives.
