The Ordinary World

                                                  Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer

The protagonist in my book, would be Edward. I think that his "ordinary world" would be at the house in Forks where Carlise and Esme live, with all of his family (Alice, Jasper, Rosalie, Emmett, Esme and Carlisle,) Bella and Renesmee.

My Photo:  "The Cullen Family Symbol" http://thetwilightsaga.com, 7 Aug. 2009, Web. 2 Dec. 2011
I chose this photo because in it, it says, "The strength of a family, like the strength of an army, lies in it's loyalty to each other." and to me that makes it seem like BECAUSE Edward's family is so strong, he feels comfortable around them and safe.

My Quote: "I didn't pay much attention to the chuckles behind me while I punched and kicked the rest of the boulder into a fragments. I was having too much fun, snickering away the whole time. It wasn't until a new little giggle, a high-pitched peal of bells, that I turned away from my silly game. "Did she just laugh?" Everyone was starring at Renesmee with the same dumbstruck expression that must have been on my face. "yes," Edward said. "who wasn't  laughing?" Jake muttered, rolling his eyes. "Tell me you didn't let go a bit on your first run, dog," Edward teased, no antagonism in his voice at all."That's different," Jacob said, and I watched in surprise as he mock-punched Edward's shoulder. "Bella's supposed to be a grown-up. Married and a mom and all that. Shouldn't there be more dignity?" Renesmee frowned, and touched Edward's face. "What does she want?" I asked. "Less dignity." Edward said with a grin. "She was having almost as much fun watching you enjoy yourself as I was." " (Breaking Dawn Stephine Meyer 522.)
I chose this quotation because it shows that Edward is having fun hanging around his parent's house (the quote doesn't tell that Edward is at his parent's house, but he is,) with Bella and Renesmee.

*The pressures that exist for Edward in his ordinary world, are that he has to lie to everyone in Forks pretty much to hide what he is, and this puts a great amount of pressure on him and his family to act human.
*Renesmee definitely creates peace at the Cullen house. Jacob, is probably the person that causes conflict, because he's imprinted on Renesmee and no one really likes that.
*I think that the living space in their house is the place that most provides a sense of comfort for the Cullen's, because that's where they talk with each other and where they go whenever they have someone(s) over.
*I think Edward could feel reluctant to leave Forks, because of Bella. Her dad lives in Forks-and even though her mom lives in Jacksonville which is even further away-and she wont want to leave her dad behind.
